    They must be. If I where to remove 2 courses then There wouldn't be enough room to install my 254mm RSJ. and a 215 block If I where to remove 3 courses then Id need a padstone around 270mm deep to get close to the RSJ without excessive shimming

    Hi. The purlins are set into the main wall at one end and on top of a stack of bricks which are on top of a load bearing wall in the middle. Are you staying they require even more fixings down to the wall? Whats there seems sturdy enough.
