Does anybody know if eco funding is available for DIY external wall insulation? I have a mid terrace 1900's house that needs it and I've calculated the costs to be around £2500 to DIY it with 100mm polystyrene.

I have 3 disused chimney pots that I would like to put a cowl on due to the rain wetting my stack. The pots are roughly 9" square and I'm struggling to find a cowl under £40. Does anybody know if a standard pepper pot would fit, or a cheaper alternative to the £40 cowls?
