Adding sockets + RCD protection to rewireable board

A customer has a rewireable board with no RCD protection and wants a selection of socket outlets moved and added. I'd like to change the whole board of course but they're reluctant to pay for it all at the moment, fair enough. They didn't fancy having individual RCD sockets added by the way...

    Self wire

And you should've been the first out the door if you had a neon screwdriver with you, or at least had it consficated and returned at hometime, if ever. In my experience tutors teach well enough, it's just that the majority of exams are passable by anyone with a modicum of memory or an ounce of...

    Grohe discharge valve & bellows

I had a look at someone's faulty cistern today and noticed that the bellows from the pneumatic push button don't seem to be connected to anything, no idea why they're not. Where should they attach? It's not the best pic but hopefully you can see them at the top...

    Showers direct2u?

The purchase had nothing to do with saving a few quid, it was all about availiability, that was what I thought anyway. The manufacturers don't sell direct and their recommended suppliers couldn't help for a couple of weeks.

    Showers direct2u?

I paid by visa debit and I'm not sure how to go about proceesing a claim if needed? :? It's not life changing money by any means (<£60) but it's still annoying. From what I can work out they're linked to http://www.bathroomtechnology.co.uk/ and http://www.aqualisa.co.uk/ so take care if...

Does it really surprise you that Ealing are charging that much?;) Could be worse though, our flush neighbours just down the A40 in the RBKC have to pay a minimum of £293+vat.

Would you demand a new consumer unit if no RCD included?

Why does your mate think a dual rcd board needs to be in use anyway?

Supply to shed from static caravan?

Someone has asked me run power for a single socket & lighting to a shed from their static caravan on a residential park. Obviously the relevant regulations will be followed, but what's the norm when doing this sort of work as it'll need some sort of removable cabling I'd imagine as the van will...

    Petrifried

Looking at someone's cooker today, on which the top oven had stopped working, I found these little fluffy bundles of vermin had played chicken with the terminals, and lost: When I persuaded them to let go of the cables and drop out, the top oven started working again. They didn't...

how to wire built in single electric oven and solid plate ho

    You can employ 'diversity' when calculating the load for heating appliances. Take the first 10a of each appliance and then 30% of the remainder: 7000w/230v = 30a - 10a = 20a. 20a x 30% = 6a. Total: 6a + 10a = 16a 2300w/230v = 10a = 10a(!) If the cooker switch has a socket outlet you'd...
