    I have some plain metal shades for walls lights that fasten to the wall. Anyone got any ideas where can I get some simple light fittings that I can fasten to the wall. They need to be quite slim to fit behind the shades and have right angle brackets so that the bulb goes verticle.

    Chasing in wires prior to re-skimming

    I need to chase in my new wiring before the plasterer comes to re-skim the walls. Is a sand/cement/lime mix OK to use? Is that what the ready made bags of "browning" are? If OK should I use sharp sand or builders sand?

    The lighting circuit has a 6amp MCB (1) The wall lights/switches are connected via 10amp junction boxes (is this OK?). (2) What size connector strip should I use to connect the wall lights to the cable at the wall. I can buy 3, 5, 10 or 30amp ??????
