Hi Clockpie I’ve just posted for some advice on something very similar to what you have done. How come you didn’t change the newels?

I wish to replace my current white glossed stair parts (newels, spindles and hand rails) for solid oak to match recently changed interior doors. Could anyone give me any advice on how to go about this particularly on how to replace the full newel posts. Many Thanks

hi I have a hoover washing machine model number DYN8164D2X that made a slight grinding noise when spinning and then gave me an error code 08 at the end of the cycle. Had a look on the net and it says Tacometer or Brushes?? Any help?

Thanks again. The slab has been poured today. It will be at least 4 weeks till I can start on the floor. If I apply the dpm does that not stop all moisture coming through to plywood?
