    Tado Installation

Hi I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice. I'm looking to install a tado smart heating system in my house but i have a slightly complicated system and so i wanted to just see if anyone knew if it would work. If it was straight forward the plan would be to do it myself but if not i'd...

    Cold radiator in attic

Hi so i turned off all the radiators bar the problem one and turned the heating on. The bottom of the radiator was roasting but the top was still just luke warm at best. I left it for 30 mins but no change. I then loosened the auto air valve (where the bleeding nipple was) to see if water or air...

    Woodwork - how cautious

Hi any help would be appreciated. We have been having a new roof on a 1920s house. In the ripping out stage we have come across a beam which has signs of woodworm (small holes dotted over it in one section). I got some specialists in and they said that I needed to treat the beam and then have...

    Artex and asbestos

Hi I'm a DIY novice and have just done something pretty stupid. I've drilled a small hole in my artex ceiling to hang something from. I've now just been reading about the dangers of artex and asbestos. The house was built circa 1979, what's the chance of asbestos being present? Is there anything...
