    Unvented cylinder replacement

Thanks all, yep i have had it serviced and this issue only really arose after 12 x months or so. They have said it isn't dangerous it is just an annoyance with the sound. I just hope the replacement which is identical, doesn't do it or it will have been for nothing!

    Unvented cylinder replacement

Thanks Rob, yep it is a FOC replacement, under the warranty of the cylinder. As the house is a new build (well it was 2 x years ago) my warranty for any issues has now expired. So i am a bit worried if they make a mistake or something goes wrong, whether they would return to fix it. I assume...

    Unvented cylinder replacement

Hi, I'm having my unvented indirect cylinder replaced at some point as it makes popping sounds when heating up and the manufacturer has inspected it and said its where the lagging has come away from the cylinder. Makes an air gap and when hot water is drawn from tap or the cylinder heating up...

    Ideal logic trap

    Ideal logic trap

Just read this online: There will often be around 2-3 litres of condensate water produced in an hour if the boiler is operational. Typically, it is expelled in around 300ml bursts, so you may hear the water going through the pipe at intervals. Assume this is what my boiler could be doing

    Ideal logic trap

Has a gas registered fitter round to service the boiler but he had to leave and go to an urgent job. Took this photo whilst the cover was off, as I am hearing a bit of gurgling from the trap every now and then when the boiler is in operation. It isn't showing any fault codes but every half hour...

    Push button flush sticking

Does anyone know if i can just unscrew this flush valve and buy a new one to put back in? Looks like it might sit into some form of collar and it would unscrew a cm or so and be able to be lifted out?

    Push button flush sticking

Also should I flush cistern first and tie up the Inlet valve to stop it filling up with water whilst it soaks? Thx again

    Push button flush sticking

Thanks Andy, is it likely its just scaled up and causing the flush to stick on the rough limescale?

    Push button flush sticking

Hi all, got a push button flush that was stuck, slow trickle into pan. It is a concealed toilet but has plastic cistern that is slightly accessible. Took cover plate off and couid unfree flush valve by pushing a black lever which is just visible in the photo at the back, back down. Works OK now...

    Unlevel bedroom new build

Thanks for this. Will give it some thought. Not sure if we can be bothered with the hassle of it in all honesty, but it does frustrate me to feel the slight incline when i walk over that side of the bedroom

    Unlevel bedroom new build

Do these photos provide any more value? Should i ask for this to be levelled using a latex screed?

    Unlevel bedroom new build

Have added some pics. tried to demonstrate the slope. Think it is (albeit not taken the carpet up) circa 5/6 mm deviation in the middle, when i take into consideration the wood that i put at either end to be able to use a tape measure. I.e. at either end of the wood the gap is 19/20mm (the wood...

    Unlevel bedroom new build

Latex i think they said, by a flooring company who presumably will have done something similar in the past. Am not sure if it is worth the upheaval? I have attached some more pics in an attempt to show the deviation.

    Unlevel bedroom new build

No idea, was a potential solution but didn't go into detail. Presumably this is not aa workable option from your post?

    Unlevel bedroom new build

I think so, it's 22mm chipboard on I joists. I said I didn't think that wouid be suitable but haven't decided whether to leave it. My wife isn't overjoyed with the upheaval of pulling up the floor and it's not causing an issue but as I say it's more about someone using it against us if we decide...

    Unlevel bedroom new build

Hi Ken, it's second floor, on I joists. There Is some flex / bounce but hard to say if it's excessive. They are 600mm centres though, so not the tightest of floors. There is no movement though on the area I've photographed. There is a box room underneath in the hall that has a timber frame and...

    Unlevel bedroom new build

All, I've noticed an uneven part of the floor towards the side of the main bedroom which is noticeable based on the drop on the bottom of the ensuite door. Customer service have looked at it and are happy to work with me to resolve it, but I am not sure its worth the upheaval of ripping up the...
