Has a gas registered fitter round to service the boiler but he had to leave and go to an urgent job. Took this photo whilst the cover was off, as I am hearing a bit of gurgling from the trap every now and then when the boiler is in operation. It isn't showing any fault codes but every half hour or so when it's on, you hear the trap draining and gurgling a bit. Is that normal? Its a 2 year old boiler.

Just read this online: There will often be around 2-3 litres of condensate water produced in an hour if the boiler is operational. Typically, it is expelled in around 300ml bursts, so you may hear the water going through the pipe at intervals. Assume this is what my boiler could be doing

Yes, it's is a syphon trap. When one chamber fills it spills over to the one beside it, when that fills it self syphons and empties itself, it#'s usually pretty quiet though. Is the cover back on properly?

Yep it has been put back on etc, will still get the service done but i was just curious. It is working fine, no issues with it flaming out or anything.
