    PTFE on compression fittings?

    I'm just a keen diyer but my favourite method is to make the joint dry then take it apart and apply 3 or 4 turns of PTFE around the olive. I've found that the joint always stays perfectly dry that way and you never get that slight leak that sometime occurs without it's use.

    Thanks for that. The bath will be going in soon, but it doesn't come with brackets or anywhere to really fit them, it just has a few very softwood blocks along the edges.

    Hi all Just about to tile my bathroom with 200x330mm tiles. My walls are a mixture of Aquapanel, plasterboard and plastered block. Would appreciate advice on which adhesive to use as some of it is around a bath and shower. I usually do a good job but I am usually slow so a ready mixed one...
