    Gap filling classic

Happy days, got half a bag of that in the shed. On a side note, would anyone use this to skim some a drywall stud wall? (I made a wall and skimmed it with this).

    Gap filling classic

I think those windows where put in with the extension to be honest. The deepest point is 15mm, finishing plaster should be fine for that?

    Gap filling classic

Hi guys, Doing some decorating and after removing the wall paper, found a nice gap between the plaster and pvc frame. It is 10mm deep, and 15mm wide at the biggest points. It's uniform all the way around. I was just going to fill it with some filler up to the pvc, and then use some caulk to...

AppleTV - worth it? Getting one jailbroken?

I'm going to write a book about this. But only in paperback so you can't download it illegally and all have a hissyfit over it.

So a 1080p or 4k YouTube video is low resolution? How wouldn't clearing the cache help?

At least they went and spoke to the nasty kids. Did they at least offer to tuck him into bed?

    Repairing damaged walls and plaster

I've got a few problem areas I'm the utility room, and I have seen various methods of patching up, but these (to me) are quite awkward and I'm just looking for a few pointers. It's worth noting I'll only be plastering one wall with the window/door on, and whilst I'll be aiming to achieve the...

    New drain problem.

I was under the impression downpipes had to run vertical? If not, could I just bring it round and under the window? Won't look fantastic but can find I way to conceal when I start doing the garden in 2048.

    New drain problem.

It was built about 10 years ago by the owners son, we bought it about 6 months ago maybe a bit more, so just sorting it out. I've already done one of these gullies. I could do another drain and try to connect it, but really, I'm not sure which way they are running, and how I'll connect it all...

    New drain problem.

A few months ago, I replaced a gully on my house with some help from you guys, and it working a treat. There is another one now, I thought it might be the same problem, or perhaps just nblocked. But I'm stumped. A down pipe goes to a gully, but the 90 degree bend doesn't actually lead to...

Fitting a gulley riser, new problems found.

So, its functional now. I had nothing to complete the surround. I'm thinking dig soil out, bed some 10mm gravel, then mortar/concrete a bed for the nice concrete square surround I saw?

Fitting a gulley riser, new problems found.

Mortar applied, just waiting for it to dry. Says quick drying, 15 to 30 minutes. Been longer than that. Mortar is certainly firming up, reckon I can just fill it in? I've seen grids with gravel around them, is this for appearance or does it have a practical use? My concern would be gravels...

About this black pipe then? Got a couple of 20-30cm lengths, reckon I get away with that?

Really do appreciate it, I would of either destroyed it all by accident or still be stood there poking a stick down it. I'm in the armed forces (y)

Fitting a gulley riser, new problems found.

I'll finish it in the morning, hopefully a bit dryer. Since I won't be rushing, I may go and look for that gravel, and I'm considering whether I can get a curved plastic pipe that can replace the clay segment, as I remember seeing some today that where quite long, removing the need for a massive...

Fitting a gulley riser, new problems found.

Have a temporary fix, 99% of the water is coming out of down pipe, so the new gully has been parachuted in. I could leave it over night, but I'm wary of freezing. Or I can go and get some of that gravel, make a new bed after I've bailed some water out, and attempt it in the dark. PS I have two...
