Which extractor fan for bathroom with shower

Dont think theres any room for a ceiling unit, its in a convert victorian house. The current extractor is kind of head height at one end of the bath (opposite to the shower). Cant say for sure theres a 10mm gap under the door. I dont think so because I remember once having to trim it slightly...

Which extractor fan for bathroom with shower

Thanks, yes they are keeping the window open in the bathroom during and after showers. We lived there for 4 years and I dont remember having any damp problems but we did have an old style window with a vent built in. It was replaced after we moved out with a full pane double glazed window so not...

    Mains water pipe blockage

Hi All This is a bit of a general question, but what options are there to try and find out what is blocking a mains water pipe to the house. We had our mains water pipe broken by builders and then repaired but ever since the water pressure has been very low. I suspect that some dirt has...

    Shower pressure questions

Thanks Yes I was suspicious of what the manufacturer is saying. I did come across a video on calibrating shower mixers ie adjusting the cartridge. could it be just something as simple as that? Have asked the plumber to check anyway.

Hi All We`re waiting to have our shower room re-tiled after a damp problem. The plasterer has said it will take 6-8 weeks for it to dry. Can someone confirm if thats correct? Seems wherever I look on the web I see conflicting instructions for drying time allowance from a few hours to 28 days...

    Wall mounted desk, material suggestions.

What about if you build a template out of newspapers and overlay it on top of a large sheet of mdf. Then use a jigsaw to cut out the shape. It would also you to put a nice curve in the desk rather than straight angled edges. Perhaps glue to sheets of mdf together to give it some thickness. Just...

kitchen extractor hood ducting hose problem

It could be done I guess using an electricians mouse to pull in a new hose from the outside. Its actually only about 6ft of aluminum hose above the ceiling near the extractor and then goes into a 110mm soil pipe that runs along the back wall to the outside wall.

kitchen extractor hood ducting hose problem

Thanks for the replies. Heres a better photo before the ducting hose came off. The duct runs in an L Shape around the left and rear of the kitchen. I also need to move the hose closer to the wall so it may give me some room to get a hand in there from below and from above. I thinking...

Recessed lights (GU10) with foil roof insulation.

Yes, but from your previous replies on the subject of recessed lighting you think many things are useless. So i`ll ignore that comment. I`ll ignore that one too as its been checked to conform to building regs. No it wont. It had recessed lighting for 10 years previously without any problems.
