FERNOX F3 - How long to leave?

Pretty straight forward question really, I'm looking at flushing my system out while I go away for a month. Would F3 be ok to be left in the system for that time? Would the results be better or would it degrade over that period? Cheers!

Hi, Im looking at installing a couple of extra rads in my house (about 5000btu each) The central heating system is a drop system (upstairs ring main, then 3 drops to the downstairs rads) Question is, I was looking at tying into the upstairs ring and then doing a fourth drop for the two extra...

    Unvented cylinder size

Cheers Mick Yes the 210l is the largest I can go for in the space. I could go for the 250l Ariston, but then I cant make full use of the Vaillant ebus NTC sensor. I suppose where i am used to a conventional open system i cant get my head around the water heating up in only 20 mins!

    unvented cylinder choice

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone could offer advice.... I'm getting a new boiler (Vaillant 630 system) and with it a 250l indirect cylinder. The problem is due to storage, the cylinder needs to be under 1600mm in height. I was looking at the Unistor, as I was impressed with the obvious compatibility...

    F&S MCB

If I relace the MCB's and keep the original RCD the original busbar will not fit. Do you mean get 2 new MCB's and a new proprietery busbar, to make it work. Sorry if I'm being thick!

    F&S MCB

Just looked up '721.43.1'. And is does mention DP's are required. Something to do with polarity reversal Seeing as this is the case, if I replaced my crap F&S DP MCB's with a decent brand, which i can get hold of, the buzz bar will not connect. Would it be safe and sane to use wire instead of...

    F&S MCB

I've spent the last two days trying to get hold of replacement MCB's for the soddin' thing. They are F&S twin pole Type C MCB's one 15A and one 6A. As I may have mentioned I've looked into these a bit and the general consensus seems to be they are crap! My next question is would it be...

    F&S MCB

Wingcoax - supply comes from an external source which also has an RCD/MCB. This does not trip - In my caravan there is an RCD and 2 MCB's one MCB shows 240v when i tested it, the other one shows 0v. Both MCB's where switched up. After I 'fiddled' with the MCB it showed 260v (I don't know if...

    Power flush or sludge?

Thaks for all your replies guys, and yes I was after reassurance. I'll sleep better tonight! One last question (promise!) will the flow really increase from 22l/min to 30l/min when the 15mm t is removed and the system is fed by the 22mm pipe?

    Power flush or sludge?

the rads are anything from 5 to 15 years old, all in good nick with trv's allready fitted. The pipe is all copper 15mm. No sludge problems to speak off but inhibator has not been topped up. The reason I'm concerned is cause I'm spending a hell of a lot of money (for me anyway) and any boiler...
