    Adhesive for 30cm x 30cm wall tiles

Well, job started and a bit more testing than I thought. Rapid set adhesive + DIY'r = Not good. Pretty much wasted my first bag, 10 min working life just not enough. My second bag of addy which is tilemaster seems to have a longer working life, plus I'm not mixing 1/4 bag a time now so...

Baxi boiler - Replacing Expansion Vessel

Assumung it's a 105e then the manual tells you that you will have to remove the boiler from the wall to replace the expansion vessel. Great design! The plumber who replaced mine whipped out the air pressure assembly so he could get access to the pipe underneath the vessel to disconnect it...

    Adhesive for 30cm x 30cm wall tiles

I did wonder why I was told SBR then told not to use SBR  SBR as far as I could tell from the packaging (weber brand) is a PVA based primer plus it's indicated use was as an additive rather than a primer. I've loads of PVA and the advice on the forum is usually not to use it so, for...

    Adhesive for 30cm x 30cm wall tiles

Cheers again both of you. I visited another two tile shops today and couldn't get AD250 or PR360 (or whatever the codes were on the addy bag). Eventually popped into my local B&Q and they had a unibond version of what seemed to be the same thing, that is a plaster primer for cement based...

    Adhesive for 30cm x 30cm wall tiles

How important is this SBR primer? I've been to 3 shops today (bagged weber addy bought) and none had SBR, one sold me a primer before I noticed it was basically PVA so returned it as seems to be a no no.

sending a large photo that won't go by email

Mixture of old and new technology, nice. :D The winzip 'disk spanning' functionality was a good tip though. You can break down the individual parts to as small as you want.

    Adhesive for 30cm x 30cm wall tiles

Hi I'm about to start my first tiling job and just want to be sure I've eveythign boxed off. The tiles are 8mm ceramic wall tiles 300mm x 300mm and won't be exposed to more water than splashes. The walls have been recently skimmed and the area of the tiles has had a mist coat but i will...

    baxi 105e loss of presure

The last plumber who replaced the expansion vessel on my 105e didn't want to have the boiler taken off the wall, recomissioned etc. He managed to get access to the single pipe by removing a few other things. I would have put in an external one in if he hadn't done that. Terrible design to...

    FREE SECURITY OTHER THAN AVG

Are the two programs conflicting? That might be your problem. I would try uninstalling spyware doctor before upgrading AVG as AVG has some anti spyware functionality. I've used Avast in the past and found that as good as anything else.

    baxi 105e

Why did you replace the expansion vessel? Has it been pressurised correctly? I assumed my new vessel came preset but it wasn't.

Which wall to start my laminate flooring from?

Cheers, went down that road in the end anyway. Only working with two boards in a row and a bit easier to slide into the gap on the longest wall so hopefully neater.

Which wall to start my laminate flooring from?

Hi I'm about to start laying some laminate in a bathroom (aqualoc) but I'm not sure from which wall to start. The room is quite long and narrow (5m x 2.5) and the boards are quite long and narrow. Assuming I start in the corner furthest from the door should I use the back (short) wall as...

    Wood filler vs Silicon

Hi, I've finished stripping down and repairing my wooden sash windows and would like to get them at least undercoated to get them through the winter. The window frames have some substantial gaps in places through a century of movement and would like to fill or seal these. Is an...

    TV Signal Transmitter?

I wouldn't bother with a sender for my main tv. Quality of signal is affected by microwaves, wireless internet, tv remotes etc. Can't you pin the cable around the edge of the room?

    trv on all radiators?

Well in my case the bypass would actually be the PRV as the pressure rises, not the best solution.
