stupid question - standard pipe size bath/shower mixer?

Any idea what will happen if it doesn't have enough pressure? Will it simply not operate at all or just give poor flow etc? I'd like to avoid having to change it at some point in the future but I suspect there is no way round it.

stupid question - standard pipe size bath/shower mixer?

It will be a combi system hopefully later this year. Currently its a conventional back boiler with tanks. I realise that this will not provide the required pressure so there is a backup plan or using the existing mixer until the heating system is changed.

stupid question - standard pipe size bath/shower mixer?

Thanks again. I was hoping to use the existing pipes although I plan on addition isolation valves to them first as I've already had one plumbing near disaster this week :)

stupid question - standard pipe size bath/shower mixer?

Bit of a daft question. We have ordered a wall mounted Crosswater thermostatic bath/shower mixer for our new bathroom but the one thing not specified on the tech diagram is the size of the input pipes. I know most, if not all, showers tend to be on 15mm pipes but bath taps tend to have 22mm...

    tiling sanity check required please

OH has arranged to get all of the required items from the tile supplier and has got a good deal on all of it. He also recommended BAL Rapidset flexible and agreed with the rest of my choices. And we can return anything we dont need for a refund. Thanks again for the advice :)

    removing sap from skirting boards?

We've got some custom made Douglas Fir skirting boards to match the existing ones in the house and one of the latest batch has 2 sections on the rear of one board which have leaked sap onto the front of the board stacked below it. Is there a way to remove this without damaging the wood? We...

making good walls under bath after leak

bit of a follow on from my other recent questions. Bath had leaked for years and has damaged the plaster, boards and joist. Boards and joists are going to be fixed shortly but I'm not sure what to do with the walls. I was hoping just to make good these areas but now the bath has been...

how to replace/fix damaged joist in bathroom? with pic

Yup its a bungalow so everything is downstairs :) The width of the bathroom is approx 2.15m (7') and there is no dwarf/sleeper wall. Hence I'll need to cut a pocket into both walls and then I'm going to glue and screw it to the original one too.

Thanks for that. I've ordered the bits today from the timber supplier I've been using for other stuff - he recommended C16 treated joist which is 120x45 and I'll have enough left over to make noggins for putting the ply down. i'll get some Gripfill too

how to replace/fix damaged joist in bathroom? with pic

Many thanks for the replies. The floor boards are being replaced with thick WBP ply so it can be tiled on. The joist is quite bad (in my opinion) at the top and it is rotten/soft but it is localised to the area photographed. There is some staining on the other side of the wall but the...
