Yes! Handle raises easily. Just checked the door. At the top, it touches the top locking point in the frame. At the bottom there is a gap of maybe 5.0 mm.

Sorry. An error on my part. I meant that I would use the same blocks, hollow/dense, for the walls, and fill with concrete, stronger walls. Two of the sides will be two close to the boundaries for rendering. So it's either bricks, take longer (I pay brickie), or if available, blocks which do not...
