only one vent pipe... the one thats currently attached to the soil pipe at the back of the toilet... this is the one where the durgo valve was going to be fitted. So, i'm assuming then, that we cant use one on there? is this a definite no-no or just an advisory?

it was a cheapie DIY store one.. cant remember now. I was using it on very low setting for something over a long period of time, and it obviously didnt like it. I'm now tempted by a semi decent cordless hammer, but i know they're nowhere near as good as a corded for masonry ...

yep it does, but i've just remember the switch on the corded has burnt out on the low variable, so it only runs fast :) which is no good for certain hammer situations... So, its now either buy a semi decent cordless combined drill/hammer, or two seperate cheapies :) decisions decisions....

i dont need to change the cable i think... just redo the connections on the outside box, diconnect and remove the old cable to the pantry socket, and bung a master socket on the upstairs socket.. job done.
