Hi it's the class dunce here again... I've drilled one out, seemed easy enough, and got some replacement stops. I guess the only way to install a new pop rivet is to also purchase a rivet gun? I'm not sure I'll have the clearance to get in and install it without the boot trim getting in the way...

It was supplied by someone at Ford, they said it's normal for it to be a size smaller and with it being narrower fits in the boot. I assume because it is smaller it is a space saver?

When I say floppy I mean it doesn't return to the centre when you put it in neutral so it is easy to try to put it in 5th rather than 3rd or reverse instead of 4th. Is this a possible DIY fix or more of a garage job? Anyone else had this problem and what was the solution? Thanks
