    Fiesta Mk7 P0302 error code

This car doesn't have individual pencil coils, all 4 are on the same coil pack. Is it worth doing the Italian tuneup suggestion? I'm just worried it could cause more damage by driving it. Got it booked into a garage on Thursday next week. Had the plugs out again and switched them around, shone...

    Fiesta Mk7 P0302 error code

Hi we have an Mk7 Fiesta, 1.25 petrol, with the engine warning light on and a P0302 code when I plug my reader in. I've swapped out the spark plugs, ignition leads and coil pack to no avail. A garage did a compression test for me which was OK, and got some petrol system cleaner to put in the...

    Isolation/service valve advice

Hi I've just replaced the old fill valve which was falling apart and making a loud noise in the upstairs loo. Replacing the valve went well, however the isolation valve, which a quick Internet search seems to be an Armitage Shanks one in the picture below, about 10cm tall. It's leaking...

Ford Focus Mk2 Tailgate Gas Struts

Febi Bilstein delivered from Autodoc and fitted. Seem good quality though I'll have to see how they last. Thanks for the help.

    Focus Rear Tailgate Bump Stop

Hi I thought I would post an update - I did exactly what you recommended John and got some pop rivets and a hand gun, access was tight but luckily the seal was able to be moved out of the way. The old stops fell apart as I was getting them out, I've fitted new ones and now it looks much...

    Focus Rear Tailgate Bump Stop

Hi it's the class dunce here again... I've drilled one out, seemed easy enough, and got some replacement stops. I guess the only way to install a new pop rivet is to also purchase a rivet gun? I'm not sure I'll have the clearance to get in and install it without the boot trim getting in the way...

Ford Focus Mk2 Tailgate Gas Struts

Hi do you guys have any recommendations on good & reliable brands of boot gas struts for a 2009 Ford Focus? I replaced them both a few years back with NitroLift ones but one of them has started to leak, annoyingly outside the 2 year warranty period. Any thoughts?

    Focus Rear Tailgate Bump Stop

Interesting. I'll probably leave it then, I'm sure I could drill it out but I've no idea what size rivet to get to replace these once they're out.

    Focus Rear Tailgate Bump Stop

Hi does anyone have any experience of replacing the two rubber bump stops on the boot of an mk2 Ford Focus? The part number is 1354972. Its an 09 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec. It looks like each is held one with two bolts but each has a small circular hole in the centre in which no bits seem to fit. Do...

    Worcester Greenstar 30i

Hi I've just had a new Greenstar 30i fitted, can someone tell me if it is OK to have the external vent/plume fitted facing upwards at 45 degrees? Won't rain get into this? I've also noticed now they've left that they've fitted TRVs on all the new radiators meaning that every single rad in the...

Spare tyre for Ford Fiesta 2011

It was supplied by someone at Ford, they said it's normal for it to be a size smaller and with it being narrower fits in the boot. I assume because it is smaller it is a space saver?

Spare tyre for Ford Fiesta 2011

Hi guys, I have a Fiesta 11 reg, fitted with 195/55 R 15 tyres. I have a spare tyre in the boot rather than the sealant stuff, it is a 175/65 R 14. In the event of a flat tyre and having to change one of the tyres, would this be suitable to replace and get me home until I can get to the garage...

    Oil milky after oil change

Hi I've just changed the oil on my 1.6 09 petrol Focus with 5w30 a1 magnatec. The oil that came out was black as per usual and I had to leave it draining overnight because the light faded on me before I could finish it. When I filled it back up this morning the dipstick is showing the oil to be...

    Spark plug question

Hi does anyone know what the correct Bosch spark plug is for a 11 plate 1.25 petrol fiesta mk7 - looked on the euro car parts site and Halfords and it suggests HR 8 MCV+. I've tried the NGK TRB13B in my 09 1.6 petrol Ford Focus but they seem to have a black sooty deposit on them when I replace...

Mk Fiesta 1.3 floppy gear stick!

When I say floppy I mean it doesn't return to the centre when you put it in neutral so it is easy to try to put it in 5th rather than 3rd or reverse instead of 4th. Is this a possible DIY fix or more of a garage job? Anyone else had this problem and what was the solution? Thanks

Mk4 Fiesta 1.3 revs when starting

Hi thanks for the replies. I cleaned the throttle body and the IACV with carb cleaner but no difference. I did however replace the throttle position sensor with a new one from a motor factors and there is a big improvement - the car now does one long powerful rev when it starts up rather than...
