Running a motor mower on unleaded petrol

I blamed the petrol because the manual stated "regular" petrol and I assumed "non leaded" would be a problem.

Running a motor mower on unleaded petrol

I have a petrol driven motor mower that runs on "regular" grade petrol. Without me knowing the last twice when my wife has had the mower petrol can filled she has used "unleaded" (This over two years or more) Just recently my mower had become more and more difficult to start and today when I...

    Bench Grinder

I thank you for your thoughts 'RF Lighting' and whilst I did check the fuse I did not go further. After reading your your comments I did then start checking the power to the input side switch and then the output but not the windings - not too sure what to expect. I have a Fluke 75 which is fine...

    Bench Grinder

Slightly off "home electrics" I know, but someone may be able to help. I have a bench grinder with two wheels. It packed up recently and as there cannot be too many reasons for the failure I thought I would start with the 'start up' capacitor. It's a 2.5 micro farad, 450VAC housed in a...

WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION - Startup Problem!

I notice that "Barbusa" never posted as to how the problem he had was resolved. People take the trouble to offer advice and knowing if it worked or not only adds to the collective knowledge but is a vote of thanks to those posting. The original post was relevant to me as my computer recently...

    Removal of Yahoo toolbar

I recently loaded the mini Bill Oddie icon from the BBC's Springwatch web site and at the same time I think loaded the Yahoo toolbar. (My fault for not watching the small print properly) How can I remove it? I have tried turning it off via Internet Explorer, View and toolbars. Firstly...

    Norton causing problems

I agree with 'Skibum' go for a Zonelab package. I had numerous problems with Norton, particularly with the fire wall, so much so that I dumped it half way through the subscription period and installed the free Zonelab firewall instead, which has worked without any problems at all. On my...

    DRM

The disc you are trying to convert is presumably a CD that contains moving pictures and sound i.e. a VCD. I thought VCD disc's used a compression standard called MPEG to store video and audio. It maybe worth checking the internet out via Google for WMV to MPEG file conversion software.

    Cutting marble

I need to cut a piece of marble which is 12 inches long and about 1/2 inch thick. It has been glued to the kitchen top for use as a chopping board. I need to cut it as it gets in the way of a replacement cooker. Any ideas as to what is the best method to use. An angle grinder may make a lot of...
