The cold water tap in the washbasin is fine. So, how do I get this "worm" back?

I haven't a clue about plumbing so would like some advice please. When I turn on the cold tap in my bath, it only turns about a quarter of a turn and then stops and the water just trickles. Is this sometning I could do myself with help, or would I need a plumber?

Like I said, I don't have an aerial socket in the kitchen. There is one in the lounge but there is no aerial connected to it. I don't have Sky, and there is no roof aerial.

I don't actually have an aerial on my main tv. I get my signal from a Virgin box, so an extension lead wouldn't be any good :(
