Hi All Yet another question from me.... Ordered a shower fitting which arrived yesterday. I can't see how this would fix to the wall? It's a regular 1/2" tap fitting on the end but the collar (which still has the protective blue wrapper on it in the picture) doesn't act as a stop against...

Thanks for the suggestion, I did ask them. They said it's a 'standard' UK waste fitting which I know it can't be as it doesn't fit the 'standard' UK PVC bottle trap. The thread is about a 1mm pitch and I think the standard UK waste fittings are about a 1.5mm pitch.

Yep it certainly seems that the waste is the problem. I read somewhere else that there are some of these being sent out with european threads on them. I'm guessing that's what this one is. I'll get a UK one if there's no workaround - don't want to bodge so I guess that's probably the best...
