    Maybe you have a faulty scart conroller on you tv... Perhaps if you can Identify one working Scart socket on your TV, then use a Scart MultiWay Switch box.... 4 into 1 kind of thing..... You can normally pick them up from Argos/Currys or the DIY sheds....

    Does it stay on all the time? when off and on? Sounds to me like the live feed has been put to the Load side of the switch, in stead of the Feed side..... Could just be a faulty switch, and the thing isnt turning off at all.... in that case big electric bill time....

    Loft insulation. Warm loft, colder bedrooms?

    Firstly, defo insulate the Loft Floor area.... this will help keep you rooms warmer... You do need some kind of venting in the loft... otherwise condensation can and will build up, and cause untolled damage to your roof structure. How about Uploading some pictures of what you have so far...

    firstly are you aware this is notifiable work? Secondly, you will need to fit some kind of fire hood to each light fixing if they a recessed into the cieling. You cant really just lay insulation over them. Thirdly, wiring them in sequence is not a problem, but again there are many issues...
