    Gurgling noise from condense trap

Hi All, Can hear air/gurgling noises from condense trap on w/bosch junior 28i, when I empty the kitchen sink! Water drains away quite quickly and then I hear the noise from the boiler. The condense drains in to the same pipe run as the kitchen sink, along a 3m run to the soil pipe. 1)...

    Bricking up flue holes

Hi I have removed three gas convertor heaters from my flat, leaving me with three holes to fill in the outside wall. I have filled the internal wall using expanding foam and then plastered over the top but I need someone professional to do the external holes. What sort of tradesman do I...

    Leaking stopcock

Hi I'm sorry if this has been covered before. My stopcock leaks when closed. It seems to work ok apart from a slight leak from around the spindle. 1) Do I need to turn of the mains outside? 2) What do I use to repair the leak? PTFE or something else? Thanks Peter

Propane Gas Can - dodgy valve!!!!

Thanks ChrisR It's a 400g Bernzomatic Propane can. I usually get a bit of a hiss of gas when I remove the torch but this time not much happened. I know the can is almost empty so thought it may be to do with this. Just checked it again, seemed fine. Pete

Fixing to Dot n' Dab Wall

ChrisR Thanks for the response. From what you have said I conclude that I can leave it the way it is, this will be fine. I don't think I explained myself properly at the beginning. I am plumbing in a new central heating system with just the gas and commissioning to be completed by a...

    Bathroom Subfloor needs replacing

Ok. This is what I will do. Cut the boards just short of the wall and support the cut with a new joist. The new boards will then butt up to the new boards on top of this joist. Being that the bathroom is less than 8' long I will need to cut the boards in to weird lengths and stagger the joins...

    Locating the drain valve

Hi All When installing central heating where is the best place for the drain valve to go? Intuition tells me it shold be at the lowest point in the system but this would mean locating it below the floor. Can I place it on the last radiator about half way up the tail on the return pipe...
