Can I put Fernox in towel rail?

I cant easily follow the pipes back as they are behind the walls or under the floors but if I drain some water off, the pressure on the boiler does go down. Does that mean I'm ok or not?

Recommended adhesive for porcelain tiles on marmox

Hello. I have decided to use marmox tile backer boards on my bathroom floor. I am told to use a non solvent based flexible adhesive by the supplier of these. I intend to fix porcelain tiles and I am told by the supplier of these to use a powdered flexible cement based adhesive which cures by...

Can I put Fernox in towel rail?

I want to add some Fernox into my central heating system. I have an unvented system. The easiest way to get this in the system would seem to be in the top of the towel rail in the bathroom as you can screw out the the valve where you bleed it leaving a sufficiently big hole to pour the fernox...

No, they are dead level. I spent a lot of time with a spirit level to ensure this.

    outside steps and damp garage

I live in a flood zone so there are steps leading up to my house. I found it difficult getting a pushchair / lawnmower etc up and down the steps so a few months ago I removed them, lengthened one side, and build a ramp the other side. See pic. Below the ramp is a mixture of hardcore, old slabs...

    22mm chipboard

Thanks. I'll investigate that. Just as an aside, why do builders put down chipboard flooring in bathrooms in the first place, if the recommended thing is to rip it up and replace it???

    22mm chipboard

Ok thanks. The more I think about it, the more i think I'm NOT going the ripping up the floor route. So its either 12mm ply or what other alternatives? 6mm Tile backerboard? I have seen mention of nomoreply, marmox, wedi etc. Are all these suitable? to complicate things further, I am thinking...

    22mm chipboard

Thanks - and gosh :o I really dont fancy pulling it all up. it will be a nightmare. They are big sheets and at the edges of the bathroom seem to run under the walls to the adjacent rooms. How would I cope with that? Do I just saw it out at the walls? also I'm worried about raising the...

I am going to install a brand new shower in my bathroom. It is going where the bath used to be. I would like to know how to install shower tray. I am buying a low level tray with no upstands. I am going to tank the plasterboard walls then tile when the tray is installed. I know that the tiles...

    porcelain tiles

Have just bought a stack of 600 x 300 porcelain tiles as we intend to fully retile our bathroom including floor, walls and shower. After carrying them to the car, I realised how heavy they are and wondered if they would be suitable for our walls. After searching on max tile weights I see that...

    Shower waste depth of seal

Sorry if I'm being thick here, so the 50mm is the min depth of the trap and the 25mm is the min amount of water that has to be left in the trap? If so, this is fine then, and I can just connect it with 40mm pipe straight to soil stack?

    Shower waste depth of seal

thanks. what exactly is the 50 mm min then? I will be running a pipe to a discharge stack, where soil also enters. Do you mean I need a 50mm diameter pipe?
