Please can someone tell me, is comparing 4mm and 2.5mm cable the same as comparing a chainsaw and a blender?

Hiya, thank you for reading this :-) I'm at the point of needing to confirm with my electrician if we want a 2.5mm ring or 4mm radial circuits putting in. I'm leaning towards the 4mm radials. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether (where there is the option to have either) opting to have...

I've got my plan - I'm going to try out that rachet screwdriver and an electric one (I have lots of old, unused sockets I can experiment on and destroying and I'll wear goggles!! :-) ) and then do as RobinBanks suggested for the more inconvenient sockets. Perfect!! Thank you so, so much everyone...

After a recommendation, please? For a socket with terminal clamps and USB ports

I'm embarrassed about that typo! Thank you for your help with this!! I was thinking to use this method for all my sockets (about 40), so I presume it wouldn't then be wise to run a spur from one of these sockets (which would be fine) - just checking :-)

I know a fair few DIYers - I'll ask to see if I can get my hands on one to experiment :-) Re your wago suggestion - do you know of a YouTube video I could watch on this, please? I can't picture what you mean fully but it sounds awesome being able to use wagos and doing the bulk of the job...

Fair I've got one - he's one of the nicest people I've ever met and I go to him for most things but I love tinkering and don't want to stop DIYing (I don't touch the CU or anything too difficult or dangerous) but yeah, getting a bit sore!

    Kingspan with Membrane

I've not had any coffee today so I might just be being thick! Joists go in ceilings and floors, the vertical timbers in walls are called 'studs' so are you talking about studs? Or floor joists that butt up to the wall?

    Insulating a sloped bathroom ceiling

Sorry, this isn't exactly what you were asking (and you're probably aware already!) but, particularly as it's a bathroom below, just check that the rafters aren't in danger of getting damp due to the insulation causing condensation to form around the rafters. If you've not thought of it: you...
