Hi all - I have got to go to a toilet as it is leaking into the bowl - the lady says that the water level is way below the central tube that gets pused by the buttons - any ideas?

    Chainsaw

Problem turned out to be stretched throttle cable in handle. It was not tight enough to hold throttle on a bit so it would start.

    Chainsaw

I did change the idle screw a number of times to try to get it to work. The air filter is grotty but you can see light through it well. Thanks for reply - any further thoughts appreciated.

    Chainsaw

Hi all - I have a Ryobi chainsaw which will start but only run for a couple of seconds. The only adjustable part I can see is an idle screw - not sure where this should be. Plug looks clean, fuel correct ratio. Any thoughts?

    Lockout

When I went to this boiler it was very late in the day and I was not in a position to start to change the photocell/coil etc to try to rectify the problem that is why I thought the forum would be a good idea to see if anyone else had seen the same symptoms. I think I will replace the coil, clean...

    Lockout

Thanks chr15 - presumably if this is the case the coil has started to break down and closing when it shouldn't.

    Lockout

Hi there, thanks for replies - the burners fires again when reset button is pressed, thought I would mention the phial as it is in a different place in my boiler. Could the phial detect heat from the red expansion vessel and lockout for safety? Any further thoughts? Cheers. :?

    Lockout

Have just been to a Worcester 20/25 which ran fine and then locked out after about 5/6 minutes. There is a phial in front of the red expansion vessel and on my boiler which is the same the phial is under the expansion vessel. Any thoughts? Regards.

    Advice please

Hi all, I have just drained about 2 buckets out of the drain point on the pressure gauge on a Worcester 12/14 oil boiler in order to replace a faulty air release valve. My question is what percentage of the total heating system water was this. The house is a new 3 bed semi with 7/8 radiators...

    diverter valve

I have been to a 12/14 Worcester heatslave combi where the radiators are heating with heating off and h/w on - I assume this is the diverter valve - the lever on the side of the actuator rises when h/w is called for but stays at the bottom when heating is called for - Is the actuator operating...

Radiators heating up when hot water on

Thanks for replies - much appreciated. The white plastic lever on the side of the actuator lifts when hot water is called for but stays at the bottom when heating called for - I think this means that the actuator is working properly (please feel free to correct me if I am wrong) so if the...

    Odd problem

Thanks for reply - it could be as I do not know when it was last serviced - could maybe do with setting up properly. As you say why would this cause lockout. Cheers

    Odd problem

I have just been to quite an old trianco oil boiler in an old house which has been altered extended etc; the circulating pump is next to the boiler. The owner said that after the boiler had been on for a while there would be a bang from the pipework which he thought came from the vicinity of the...

Radiators heating up when hot water on

Is this due to the diverter valve stuck in the central position - will trying to free off with the actuator solve this - even if just temporarily? PS Worcester 12/14 oil boiler.

    Trianco Oil Boiler

I am new to this so you may be better to get more experienced replies. However you could try the following - take off the fan guard off and gently turn the fan to check for a sticky point - this can then simply be a worn coupling between the oil pump and motor.

    Boiler Noise

Hi all - have recently gone to an oil Worcester 12/14 which works fine but after a couple of minutes sharts to make a rattling noise which gradually gets worse. Is this kettling - I have never heard kettling before - if it is what is the solution. Also an upstairs radiator does not get hot...

    Oil pump leak

Hello all, 1) I went to a Worcester 12/14 yesterday which was leaking oil from the oil pressure adjustment point - can this leak be stopped - if so how? 2) Another question - if someone services a boiler and then the boiler develops a fault - how long after the service would any of you say...
