Hello all,
1) I went to a Worcester 12/14 yesterday which was leaking oil from the oil pressure adjustment point - can this leak be stopped - if so how?
2) Another question - if someone services a boiler and then the boiler develops a fault - how long after the service would any of you say that the responsibilty and therefore cost should be absorbed by the engineer? I hope this question makes sense. Regards

regarding 2, tough one that, i would be inclined to say none, i.e not engineers fault.

I used to work on washing machines (not boilers i know) but if you service it today and it breaks tomorrow its not your fault.

say the door fell off, how are you to know little johnny didnt kick it after you left? not your fault johnny swings on it when mummy isnt looking

but suppose you changed motor brushes and motor packs up next wash, although not your fault, you did change a part of it, so you would have to change that bit at your expense

note. i have never seen a door on a w/m fall off

or suppose in your case the timer packs up, how do you know little johnny never turned it backwards?

1)if its the old ms pump, with the hex adjuster thats held by circlip..........dont bother. fit a new pump. plus its safer. we dont want oil p£ ssing out at 100psi.

2) thats life.
