Cleaning central heating with partial plastic piping ?

I will soon be replacing some radiators and then plan to run a cleaner like X400 through the system I’ve just checked, and it looks like my Builder chose to use some plastic pipe for the long run to the radiators in our extension rather than copper (in the ceiling, not down to the actual...

Radiators from Bestheating.com - anyone got any experience ?

thanks for the reply @Madrab I've currently got 2 x Ximax duplex P1's and have had them for a number of years (~10 years), but we are looking for a design change hence we a thinking of going more traditional. Also, the heat output has never been great and they are positioned in the wrong place...

Radiators from Bestheating.com - anyone got any experience ?

@muggles @Tetrarch - thanks both for your replies Can i assume that you both mean Aruba's and not the Aruba Ayre's ? Interesting to hear the paint issue after a couple of years which is disappointing Seems the finish used by Bestheating is white powder coated finish

Radiators from Bestheating.com - anyone got any experience ?

Hi all, I'm looking to install some new radiators and i've been drawn to the traditional 3 column Milano Windsors being offered by Bestheating.com I'm particularly curious about their ability to offer a 20 year guarantee whereas it appears that the industry norm is typically 5 years but...

Pressure virtually nil but central heating is working…how ???

Thanks @CBW So a future project I’m planning to do is add a few more radiators but I was apprehensive about not completing it in a single day and thus we had no hot water either So do you think I can effectively knock out the heating then but my taps will work fine ? Hopefully when I get...

Filler with as good a finish as a plaster skim

sorry @opps ....are you saying there is no need to PVA at all then ? I was just assuming that it would best to apply a diluted PVA mix to at least the cut plasterboard edges, and perhaps the plasterboard fill-in disc to which the Tx110 will adhere to I've got some PVA so its no issue to spend a...

Filler with as good a finish as a plaster skim

Thanks again @opps Final question….the plasterboard circles that will fill the majority of each hole…should I PVA it and either let it dry or keep tacky, before using the tx110 ?

Filler with as good a finish as a plaster skim

Thanks again @opps The tx110 gets bucket loads of good reviews and no, no one will be getting near it as as I say I’m filling downlighter holes in the ceiling and a flue hole that’s about 7ft in the air So you don’t think a 150mm diameter hole presents any issues if I keep the depth sensible...

Filler with as good a finish as a plaster skim

@opps - thanks for the reply if its incredibly soft, is it suitable for ceilings still or would it just drop off, or can you mix to your own consistency ?
