    I bought some red crimps today, but am only left with one. The reason is because I have tried so many times to get a tight crimp between the Earthc cores, but they keep pulling apart. I have only manged to do one successfully.

    Also, as I have read many times on this forum, to keep the insulation away and allow heat dissapitation, use a garden flower pot.

    OK, I FINALLY got the bits and bobs to make my crimp joint, but have never crimped before. I have done a practice using two bit of T&E and want to know what you think. I did not use sleeving on the earth, because it was only a practice, but will do on the real thing. I can see I haven't pushed...

    you will need to identify the switch wires at the fitting. The switch seems like both reds in com and both blacks in L1, but you need a multimeter

    Try Bernard's solution, you need to know if it is safe, before you can upgrade to a B10 (cable size etc.)

    SO they have some idea, before having to call out a spark and find out they have to mess up their hall(in this case).
