    No Neutral

Thanks pal, It's a new build and never had any issues, the socket itself was also never an issue this only seems to of occurred when I added this exterior socket. I have put the socket tester in both outlets now and they read perfect. I'll get the Multimeter from work and do some testing..

    No Neutral

But that wasn't the case.. the lives are all terminated correctly its was just a broken neutral, which when corrected meant everything was fine.? So your saying the broken neutral from the exterior socket wouldn't cause a shock?

    Garage Ceiling

Sorry didn't explain myself.. the ceiling is already fully insulated and is covered with plasterboard, this was in addition to block the noise of a boiler and to just insulate further. So I'd be basically sticking the insulated plasterboard into the plasterboard already there.

    Fused spur

Quick one.. At the minute Ive gone from the fused spur through the wall and behind the telly then used a blue plug to connect the telly and power. But the new telly has a moulded plug and isn't on a kettle lead so I can just swap the blue socket for a one gang extention socket to plug the...
