Fit workpiece bigger than the chuck ?

I remember once i read something somewhere about clamping workpieces bigger than the chuck jaw fully open. Cant seem to find it again. Its a one off thing, but i still need it done. I have a steel rod of 25mm + a hair more. I need that "hair" bit gone so i could fit 25mm I.D. bearing on...

    Buffing/Polishing compounds ?

Where do you buy your green bars ? Purest Chromium III Oxide i find is in powder form and is not really convenient for tool polishing. Most of whats on ebay does not have descriptions of whats in the bar (most likely high content of Aluminium oxide). So, where do i get good quality polishing...

    What glue to use ?

Wood :D Jokes aside, i used to at a place and time when animal glue was common and it was the best. Nowadays animal glue is stupidly expensive... And i'm returning to woodworking after a long time, hence the question - whats the best glue. In general sense. I do understand that there are...

    Help wiring an electric motor

But according to diagram it can be switched to CCW ? Isnt it a matter of switching over a bar or something ? I cant read this diagram so i'm just assuming its something simple. Also, it would not be used to switching "on the fly". Run in CW, turn off, switch, run CCW. No ?
