    Agreed that's a Y plan with a god dam awful airjec doing cold feed/open vent. Im betting that's full of crap. Cylinder stat should be higher up as well. Boiler stat needs turning down a bit they do get out of calibration.

    Three random radiators on three different floors are cold including pipes, townhouse, heat only boiler with water tank.

    First move is to turn off all rads that are working see if the others come on. If they do system probably needs balancing.

    Taping pin gently normal works. After that if your not confident in dealing with it you don't need a degree in plumbing you just need a plumber! We would just freeze pipe adapt it then fit new trv few minutes job but we have the gear.

    As above try finding leak. If it's taking 6 weeks to drop pressure I'd be having a good look at all rad valves . Take of heads of trv's and dust caps off lockshields. Auto air valves if you have any can be another source of problems. Just fit a decent system filter, difficult to understand...

    We have used many hundreds of polyfit fittings on first fix with zero problems. I certainly wouldn't be bothering to change undisturbed fittings . You can use speedfit fittings on polypipe tube but you must use the polypipe inserts. Most polypipe inserts are now black plastic they work...

    Terrain was bought out by Polypipe many years ago. They then ran range down and totally discontinued it about 3 to 4 years ago. To be blunt i think your on a hiding to nothing. Maybe email Polypipe and ask if adaptors are available but don't hold your breath!

    Absolutely take wires out of board replace with link If you do any work on system and have to drain or even just get rid of pressure that's time to remove switch. It's threaded 1/4 bsp so you just need a 1/4 plug.

    Grant register installer here. Simple answer link pressure swith out they haven't been fitted to new Grant combi's for several years. We remove them every time we find them mostly because when your working on boiler they are renown for snapping off! From memory the pressure switch connections...

    As above zero problems. We have been working on a large property near Scunthorpe for approaching 10 years. 36 loops in total all commissioned a few at a time. Last 4 due to work near Easter next year!

    Motorised valve micro switch stuck favourite If your competent with mains voltage and have a multimeter check if orange feed from Motorised valve live. Assuming it's wired correctly !.

    As above scratched plastic pipe in push fit fitting is a non starter. We always water pressure test any first fix.

    Eph zone valves do make on micro switch when in manual position. Power it up and it it will unlatch . Danfoss valves also make on manual but they stay in manual position when powered up. Absolute pain if you forget to unlatch them.
