Right, so the condit would be more for the safety of making the wall "Live" if wiring became damaged and touched the construction material (which in this case is metal). Make sense. Any holes through the studs will be grommeted to prevent slicing of the cable, Or I could just come vertically...

The studs are Metal C Stud, 70mm depth, with 12.5mm plasterboard either side

Is it a requirement that wiring is to be in steel conduit in a 70mm stud wall. The wiring will be protected by an MCB and Main RCCB

I need to buy me a few new levels and set squares to erect some external and internal metal stud walls. I was wondering if it would be better to invest in a laser level, or can you simply not do away with the traditional bubble levels and set squares??

Hi, I could strap the insulation board in place inbetween the C section studs if that would work. The only other way I can think of putting a backing plasterboard on to hold the insulation in place would be to attached the backing plasterboard to the C section up rights first, then lift it...

Normally insulation board fits in the cavity between two wall surfaces. But is it ok if the wall didnt have a back on it (internal wall) So say on a commercial unit, Im putting a metal stud wall close to the external wall of the building. But I cant get right next to the external building...

Morning All, Thought I would finish this thread off and tell you Im still alive!! I decided to very slowly and carefully drill the holes, checking that is was still concrete at the bottom of the hole every few mm. Took a little while but glad to say all went well and didnt hit anything...

The post is about 10cm from the wall, and I am using 150mm anchor blots (although the anchor part is alot less so only need to drill about 50mm) If its too risky, I could probably weld up from kind of strut to the wall. I guess a 3 phase supply aint something you want to risk messing with if...
