New house strange(?) mains socket wiring

Taylor, Thank you so much for your detailed reply. With regards to the kitchen, I think it must be a radial as before the sale they had to have the electrics tested and signed off so I cant see that if it was a spur off a spur that would have passed (though I seem to remember that there was a...

I wonder if you can help me? some advice on fitting a 180 degree opening door needed

Foxhole: the problem with that is that then the fireplace is blocked off- hence the 2 small door meeting in the middle option. Chud: that could work but I would have to cut a notch out to fit the radiator. But what I really want to know is how I can fit a door with 180 degrees swing. thanks

some advice on fitting a 180 degree opening door needed

The radiator does cause a problem in that we cant have the door shutting in the normal position. As the doors will only really be used when someone stays over, the idea was to have two doors that meet in the middle, then I realisised I could use one door to shut off the stairs and then swing...

repairing a kitchen ceiling (plasterboard) some help please

thanks for the replies. Its worth thinking about but money really is tight and we have to look at everything with a view of how much we spend to what it will put on the value on the house. Whilst I do appreciate that it may well be easier to get a pro in to board and skim (and it will look...
