    Main Eco Compact 30

That's my whole point Terry if it's absolutely fine then can I just leave it? Depending on who u speak to its a different story a bit like yourself and CBW. Will it ever fail a service?

    Main Eco Compact 30

No there was no quote for an upgrade. Just fitted the new boiler. It's probably about 10 metres of 22mm pipe that needed, if that. What kind of price would I be looking at to have it fitter? I'd do the donkey work lifting the floor, etc.

    Main Eco Compact 30

Hi All, I had a Main Eco Compact 30 boiler installed about a year ago now. It's been running fine. It's just had its first service. The engineer said the boiler has a 22mm gas feed. However the main gas pipe is a 15mm. It looks like when the installer fitted the boiler he has inserted a...

    Removing a chimneybreast

Well I've had the house for 8 years and the kitchen was fitted 10 years before that so guessing it was removed around then. So basically with toothed brickwork the sides are supported fine but the front needs support?

    Removing a chimneybreast

Hi here are a couple of picture. I've opened the front of the chimney and left the sides on. The brickwork is fine with no lose bricks. As your can see on the sides every other brick is bonded into the wall.

    Removing a chimneybreast

Hi all. In my bathroom airing cupboard I have an old chimney breast. My bathroom is above the kitchen and I don't have a chimney in the kitchen. The chimney seems to start in the bathroom and goes up all the way to the roof. I want to remove the chimney in the bathroom to square the room off...

    Switch wires too small

Out of interest are the connectors suitable for extending any electrical wire? I've got a cabinet in the bathroom wired up but looking to move it but again the wire is too short. I only need an extra metre of wire or would I just need to put a full new length in?

    Switch wires too small

Hi All, I've got a light switch with wiring that's way too short. It's the old red and black wires. Was going to use some inline push wire fittings to add some additional wire. Can I connect new brown and blue wire to extend? Thanks

    Old Chimney

Hi All, in my airing cupboard in the bathroom I've got an old chimney that goes up into the loft and obviously out the roof. The chimney seems to stop in the airing cupboard as there is nothing in the kitchen below. The chimney comes out the wall about a foot and half and looks like it's...

    Central Heating Issues

The kitchen, front living room and 3 bedroom radiators on the 1st floor don't work but the bathroom one does. When u say both valves do u mean on each side of every radiator? I've checked a couple and I do think the pin is a bit low. Should the pipe going into the thermostat valve be warm? Thanks

    Central Heating Issues

Thanks CBW. I will have a look for a zone valve. Certainly in the 2nd floor rads there was a lot of air. The boiler is a combo boiler Garda Plus HE. Not sure about the pump mottie.
