    Is this pipework run ok?

It's a conventional system with header tank in loft, this is on the ground floor. Are you saying you think this may be ok then? Rather not have to undo what I have just done! I hated doing it as it's a crap way of doing things but couldnt see alot of other options apart from chasing floor.

    Is this pipework run ok?

Many thanks for taking the time to explain. I did install auto air valves for the outlet on my shower pump upstairs, but I have heard eventually they fail. I guess I dont really want them sitting behind a wall where I have no access.

    Is this pipework run ok?

Ahh *******s, I was really hoping this wouldn't be the case!!! yes I could reroute to the left, but there is a toilet soil stack tight to the wall which will cause an issue! Is there any other way apart from gunning up the floor, dont really want to do this! why would I get airlocks?

    Is this pipework run ok?

I know it's a bit odd, but have 15mm rad pipework that comes from my garage, into what will be a utility room, can't go up through ceiling and drop down as there is a steel in the way, so I have webbed it through the studwork, over the door lining and down to where the vertical rad will be. My...

    Boarding Unlevel Joists

Rightly or wrongly, as it's only a small section on each ceiling, I attached 2x4 battons to the joist that was lower then fixed the pb to that, going to inject foam through holes in the PB for additional support. Ghetto I know but does the job lol

    Boarding Unlevel Joists

Yeah it's just the centre joist by the looks of it, it's about 10mm lower

    Boarding Unlevel Joists

What's the best way to board a ceiling where the middle joist sits lower than the other two either side? Also it seems the middle joist varies in height along its run, presumably for fall on the flat roof? Would you batten to the side of the joists and then screw the plasterboard up to that?

    Ring Circuit Layout

Thanks for all of your help gents. In the end I decided to get my friend round who is a fully qualified electrician. To be honest it was all a bit of a mess and errors with the wiring and he had to do a lot of testing and tracing. But it appears they route through underneath the steel on the...

    Ring Circuit Layout

Thanks for the replies all, I'm not sure I have explained myself properly but the ring must come from the room I'm standing in, in the first pic through to what will be the utility room (where the sockets are chased out). The normal route would be above ceiling and drill through centre of...

    Ring Circuit Layout

I need to extend a ring circuit into a utility room for a washing machine and tumble dryer. Both alliances will have their own socket which can be isolated individually above surface. How would you go about bringing in the ring circuit from the next room (dining room), the ceiling of the...

Remove or reduce height soil stack

Thanks for that, I guess it's either this route or drill out through rear wall and have a gulley outside then connect into main drain. If you wanted just to lose the soil stack completely if we went down that route, how would you 'block it off'?

Remove or reduce height soil stack

Hi thanks for the explanation, to confirm can you link online to a suitable solid connector and will that connector take sink/dishwasher waste or is it just a cap?

    Creating new cloakroom

Yeah you have a point there, also it's a pain to try and find one, alot more expensive too. Do you think it would be a better idea for the door to the utility to open into the dining room?

    Creating new cloakroom

Just come up with another layout that probably works best. The vanity unit that I was talking about but moving door opening into utility to other side and door into toilet further down, plus making into a sliding door What do you think?

    Creating new cloakroom

Thanks for that, is it just because of brand, or you think that this type of corner suite would be more suited to my bathroom?

    Creating new cloakroom

Sorry yes got that wrong on the plan, supposed to open into utility room. Question is on the window wall on the plan (wider wall) would you go for a toilet sink combo vanity unit (I haven't seem them with the restricted room I have in front) or a corner toilet/corner sink or normal toilet on...

Remove or reduce height soil stack

Floorplan here with rough idea of location of stacks. The stack towards the rear of the house was serving a toilet and sink and there was a wall seperating the toilet from the kitchen that has been knocked out.

Remove or reduce height soil stack

That's the floor level does this help? It seems plastic to me.

    Creating new cloakroom

The picture Bouy has provided below is pretty much my layout, however I will have a door into the utility which he has on the right, then from the utility a door into the toilet.
