    EDPM Roof Repair Patch

Hi, I have a soil stack which is being lowered to the floor inside, the top of the stack (vent pipe) exits straight out through my EDPM (I believe it's this as it isn't felt) flat roof. Once the pipe has been lowered I'm going to end up with a hole in the roof which needs to be repaired...

    Bonding or plasterboard question

I had a new kitchen window installed recently and I have been left with working out how to get a flat wall. The kitchen is being replaced soon and the soil stack will be lowered pretty much to the ground. The blockwork sits about 12.5mm in from the depth of the lintel. However the wall either...

    Self leveling compound too high

Looking at it again it isn't too bad if we are going over the tiles anyway the floor level across the whole area shouldn't increase too much to the highest point I made. One of the issues I have now come across is the original screed is cracked along where an extension to the rear of the house...

    Self leveling compound too high

The problem is, it's not just a high spot, it;s a high area, so think an area of about 1000mm x 1000mm

    Self leveling compound too high

After being let down by 3 tilers/builders and needing to move on with our kitchen project I decided to try to raise the floor level of our dining room floor to match the kitchen. I didn't go well! The compound was mixed at the correct ratio of water/compound but was thick compared to others I...

    Rearranging pipework any issues?

So I have had a plumber round to look at this as to be honest I have had so much other work to do in the house I need help. He said that it's hard to see without looking at the whole system but he is saying that the solution of the autobypass would not work, he said the rad has been incorrectly...

    Draining Hot Water Cylinder

Ended up draining the cold water tank, doesn't take too long but bit of a waste of water.

    Draining Hot Water Cylinder

Crap ones obviously! one's my builder gave me, but they dont fit in the outlets from the cold tank. Yes would get a full bore lever valve but didn't have time to mess around and access is restrictive.

    Draining Hot Water Cylinder

Your right, title worded incorrectly. Didn't mean drain the cylinder, just the cold water tank.
