    Honda CRV Driving Lamps

Can I do that though? The bulbs in there at the moment is whats recommended in the user manual. I'm worried that if I use a higher wattage the fitting might overheat or the fuse'l blow. I asked in my local Halfords and the bloke said I should stick with what I've got.

    Honda CRV Driving Lamps

Can anyone recommend a good set of driving lamps I can put on a 1998 Honda CRV? I heard Hella were good but they seem a bit pricy. The normal lights aren't very powerful so I want to add some lighting at the front that I can use all the time, not like extra fog lamps.

    Using GU10 bulbs?

I've got some 50W GU10 bulbs in the kitchen that I want to replace with low energy versions. The bulbs get switched on-off rapidly a lot, is it worth putting in low energy bulbs? Will they warm up time? Will they last long if used in this way?

How to get rid of salt on wall?

I had my kitchen plastered about 2 years ago and a patch (12x24 inches) has appeared at head height that is bubbling up salt. The rest of the kitchen is fine. There is no nearby source of damp or water, so I assume either the cement or plaster was contaminted. How do I get rid of it?

Why can't I fit gas cooker?

Viritually all the cookers on the 1st page of the Curry's gas cookers list say you can't fit them (sorted Price:Low->High). From about half way down the second page the advice is gone, so I'm assuming you can fit these one. But the price has gone up by 50-100 pounds depending on the brand you...

Why can't I fit gas cooker?

I was looking on the Curry site for a new gas cooker for my flat, but all the ones I came across (different brands) say that they "May not be installed in flats". Is this a new rule, why? Does this mean I can only fit an electric cooker?

    NICEIC Fan Regs

Thanks. The block was refurbished about 4 years ago - double glazing, interior, etc. How come they didn't put in a fan then, or is it a more recent requirement? Does it have to be in the window glass or can you have it in the brickwork?

    NICEIC Fan Regs

My mum lives in a block of (about 20) flats, the block is no more than 4 floors high. She got a sparky in to do some wiring and he said that she needed a fan in the kitchen. None of the other flats have a fan in the kitchen, its medium sized with windows. Does she really need a fan? Where...

    Boiler size?

Thanks Mike, the gas supply is good. I was thinking of the Baxi 133HE Plus Condensing Combi, which rates at Input: CH=33.7KW, DHW=45.5KW Output: CH=30KW, DHW=39KW The main bathroom gets used the most but no two showers are run at the same time, yet! Do you think this is OK?

    Boiler size?

I'm trying to size a combi boiler for a house with 3 bathrooms. There are 17 (single and double) rads that add up to about 62K BTU (18.1KW). Will a 100K BTU (30KW) boiler do the job? How much do you normally need for each bathroom?

    Low energy bulb in bathroom?

B&Q have got some outdoor low energy bulbs but they start from about £15.00, compared with 50p for a GLS bulb. Doesn't sound like much of an option. Whats everyone gonna to do in a couple of years when they stop selling the GLS bulbs?
