    Safe zones are also 150mm from top & ends (corners) of walls. Cant you use these areas somehow ? Is the cable horizontal or vertical to the 1st socket ? You could come back along this route & around to the other socket

    Thanks Cremeegg. As it happens the cable are 600mm centres so from what your saying LED's are sounding ok. There are wall lights in this reception aswell so this will help with light.

    How long was the electrician working on the job. He has to earn his wages, probably £150-£200 a day, is he vat reg ? CU's arent cheap these days either & cable prices have gone up. You'd be suprised how it all adds up

    Just quoting to fit a new CU but the main earth from the incoming supply is the armoured twisted & connected into the MET in the existing CU & there is also a piece of 6mm earth wire twisted in with the armour & also connected to the MET of the CU. Ze reading 0.15. Somehow I think this needs...

    The only availabe PME is the landlords. I suppose a new 16mm cable would have to be run in up to the CU ? Just wanted to see what others would do. I suppose its all extra work :)
