Hi guys. I have to screw down a toilet pan with a sort of plastic "L" shaped brackets. Do I have to silicon the base of the pan to the tiled floor afterwards or not. Thank you.

Hi guys. I am installing a concealed toilet cistern. Tiles on plywood will be screwed to the studwall and unscrewed when access to the cistern is needed. Will I have to grout or silicon around the panel or should I leave it ungrouted for easy removal? Thank you very much for your time.

Hi cantaloup63. Yes I can guarantee that. At the mo, the shallow trap has a water seal of only 20mm. If the extendable connector in question is run at floor level and then up as stated before, i' ll have a water seal of at least 100-120mm unless the extendable connector jumps up as if by magic.

So do you think that because the flow is not that great it will be more prone to blockage due to hair and soap or he should get away with it?This friend of mine has only just bought this flat.....so no much history I am afraid. Thanks for answering.

Hi ChrisOxford. There won't be any foul smell as the flexible extendable connector would go from the waste outlet to the floor level and then up again to the existing pipe work. By going up the the existing pipework it will create a water seal so no smell getting in. Am i right in assuming that...

Thanks for answering m8. I know what u mean, having said that since it is a concealed cistern I do not want to run the risk of future leak and have to knock down the stud wall so I was looking for a permanent fix.

When i refilled the system, instead of shutting off the loop valve when the pressure gauge read 1 bar, i left the valve open till the pressure gauge read 2.6 bars.
