Silicon around toilet pan

Hi guys. I have to screw down a toilet pan with a sort of plastic "L" shaped brackets. Do I have to silicon the base of the pan to the tiled floor afterwards or not. Thank you.

Normally do so that you don;t get - how to say - "buildup" under the pan.

yes similar to using decorators caulk for filling skirting boards, arcs etc.

Much neater appearence.
