    Yes it is near the window! This is known as 'modest lighting' (is that is the correct spelling!) So anyone that gets dressed in there room, the light would reflect into the room and not cast a shadow onto the window! :wink:

    Using PVA before Plastering.

    I thought that you had to PVA before skimming? When I plaster, it falls off the wall!! :? Was told PVA help the plaster to stick better because it cuts down on dust and aids suction to the wall.

    Before you skim a wall is it best to use PVA glue but...... do you wait for the glue to dry 24hrs before skimming, wait for it to be tacky or do you skim the walls just after you've applied the glue. Thank you.

    BT Overhead Telephone Cable.

    Thanks everyone. The fact is, when I un-clip the old guttering, I didn't want my hand to bounce back and hit the wire. I DON'T want to remove his active BT Line, just didn't want to touch it! My neighbours guttering should of been on their other side so no, i'm not working around it...
