Tips of Basic Plastering.

Can anyone give me some tips on plastering please?

I want to patch up my walls with filler then would like to skim with plaster.

When filling in holes in my walls, I use Filler or Patching Plaster. When I put these onto my wall, it sticks and stays stuck until I go over it again, 5 minutes later with a trowel, it peels and falls off the wall Why? This always happens every time I plaster – what am I doing wrong?

I've brush the walls down with water but this problem still happens. Should the walls be wet or dry before plastering? Should I make the mix wetter or dryer? Do I add anything to the mix?

Any tips?

use bonding or just get a propper plasterer to do it

1. Pick up local paper.
2. Phone a plaster to come around and price the job, do this 2-3 times if you want.
