Can anyone tell me what a cubic meter of soft/yellow sand weighs ? I know if it is wet or dry it will be different but as a general rule from the merchant what would it be.

    Advent 9912 shutting down

I have just bought an Advent 9912 from PC World, everything appears to work ok but after 10-15 minutes it shuts down and the bottom left of the machine (below the keyboard) is very hot. I have re-set the sleep times etc to never, so it shouldn't be that causing the machine to shut down. I...

Hi, we have just bought 2 licences for our new business of FileMaker Pro 9 on the re-commendation of a friend who uses it at work. Having watched the FileMaker online video with the spinning wheel showing all the different parts of a business it certainly looks the database for us. Now the...

I have recently bought a second hand portable Valor calor gas heater, there was a bottle with it that lasted about a week. Having just put a new gas bottle in it i have found the heater goes off by it's self sometimes. There is a definite click when it turns off, is there an over heat...

    Database

I have just looked at Act by Sage, it appears to be the sort of thing we are looking for. Two points that have come up straight away, 1, the 30 day free trial takes over an hour to download on broadband, i thought a smaller compact version might have been available as a trial. 2, the...

    Database

Thanks for the replies. In answer to questions, we would not fancy building our own, not enough knowledge at our end to do that. In size, the database needs to be able to hold up to 500 contact entries with up to date notes on each one. ie, last call or visit, last action etc which...

    Concrete Floor.

Assuming you are using concreting sand/gravel mix you should be around 6:1 6 being sand/gravel, 1 being cement. For the size you quoted you will require a little over a 1/4 cubic meter of concrete.

Stud Wall ; make one room into 2

Ever heard of 4" mid density concrete blocks (or 6" if you want) ? Dot and dab the plaster board onto them and skim. Much better and much stronger if you intend to hang anything from the wall.
