Assuming you are using concreting sand/gravel mix you should be around 6:1 6 being sand/gravel, 1 being cement. For the size you quoted you will require a little over a 1/4 cubic meter of concrete.

Ever heard of 4" mid density concrete blocks (or 6" if you want) ? Dot and dab the plaster board onto them and skim. Much better and much stronger if you intend to hang anything from the wall.
