Anti vaxers will be feeling smug

Exactly. The scientists with the same qualifications who don't agree are supposed to be ignored. 'Follow the science' is a meaningless slogan.

Anti vaxers will be feeling smug

If claims of a vaccine's efficacy do not come to be then those claims are simply false. It is not 'advice changing' as you've tried to spin it into, Alistair Campbell. Even someone with basic knowledge knows the virus continually mutates so why would those producing the jabs make those...

Anti vaxers will be feeling smug

Independent Sage (Susan Michie) were one of those advocating this. Again, you can't argue against any of the facts I provided. You grab some minor point and try to deflect. You constantly demand stats but don't provide any yourself. You know you don't have an argument, that's why you use this...

Anti vaxers will be feeling smug

Yet, you can't actually debate the exact points. Instead all ad hominem. FYI, yes, there were people who actually wanted to keep implemented measures continuously. They called it 'the new normal'.

Anti vaxers will be feeling smug

Very scientific. Out of all I wrote that's the only point you can pretend to contest. The average age of someone who had 'died with Covid' is 83. Even that meaning it wasn't the underlying cause. Hardly any take up of vaccines in countries like South Africa and were they dying in droves? No...

Anti vaxers will be feeling smug

The vast, vast majority of people who are labelled as anti-vaxxers, have had vaccines and used pharmaceuticals in their life. But instead they are all thrown into one box as quacks who use voodoo instead. Yes, there are grifters on the anti-Covid vaccine bandwagon but there are in every part of...

Towel Radiator - Standard Pipe Widths?

Looks like I'll just order it first. Thanks.

Towel Radiator - Standard Pipe Widths?

Looking to install a towel radiator and running the pipes. Are there set standards for pipe width so I can set the pipes in position before buying the radiator? I see there are typical widths like 450mm, 500mm and 600mm etc. Are the pipe widths also standard for these? Also seen another...

    Blocked drains - who covers?

Thanks for the replies. I've looked up interceptor and I think that is it. No wonder I can barely shift it. At least I know what I'm dealing with now.

    Blocked drains - who covers?

Hi All, Have a foul waste drain running down the side of the house. Have 3 inspection covers along the run. The last being a metre from the pavement where the final clay pipe runs to the road. It was built up with solids and quite dry looking like there hadn't been much movement for a good...

Abutting fascia boards cracking - solution?

Thanks for the replies. I'm not averse to UPVC but this is a board at head height and I prefer wood for the aesthetics. No chance to place wood behind. Did consider using a plain moulding to cover. May be last resort. I'll have a look at CT1.

Abutting fascia boards cracking - solution?

Hi All, As title, got a fascia board on the house which was installed as two boards. Where they meet obviously leaves a crack over time regardless of using filler etc. Is there a way to tie the two boards together in situ? Like maybe some kind of clip that can be embedded across them? Cheers

Biasi Advance - still heating hot water when tap off

Biasi Advance 30C. Uses one of those new electronic detect flow switches clipped onto the pipe. Blue plastic with a small pcb showing a few transistors. Even though the hot tap has been turned off, the boiler is still showing as tap open (flashing tap icon) and continues heating it until max...

    Biasi - Error 14?

Thanks. Previous boiler's DHW exchanger used to get clogged too. System was flushed and always has a Magnaclean on the return. Will take a look.

    Biasi - Error 14?

From what I've read this is possibly a pump failure but not sure. Could it be something else? Tap hot water comes out then cools...heats again....cools and then boiler goes into error 14. Boiler is a Biasi Advance 30C 30KW Combi.

    Bonding on metal stopcock?

Given the cost of a complete change and having two RCDs best to just change the whole thing I think.

    Bonding on metal stopcock?

No, it was said in a 'polite' I can do it for you if you don't have someone way. I suppose it sounds less pushy and make customers less suspicious.

    Bonding on metal stopcock?

I did wonder that he was kind of making stuff up. These 'old' switches work perfectly and to the touch have a more positive feel than many modern ones. Which then gets me onto a 3rd point of failure he said, that I'm now concerned about. That the consumer unit didn't have an RCD so it was a...
