it is good practice to have service valves near appliances, ie your W.C. and basin hot and cold pipes. Make sure they are accessible.

i would trry your local colleges as they should run evening classes. The course would be basic plumbing skills - technical cert / NVQ2. Once you complete this two year course, you can go onto level three, do your CCN1 etc..etc...and then apply to CORGI for a badge if you working in the gas...
