Fitting toilet to soil pipe at funny angle

The bog is against the wall in the photo. I've bought a flared straight connector to come out the bog which ive cut down, then a flared 90 bend then an extension then another flared 90 bend to go into the soil pipe. I'm worried that at each connecting point crap will collect due to the flared...

Fitting toilet to soil pipe at funny angle

Thanks everyone. I didn't want to move the soil pipe due to access problems outside. I've looked at flexible pan connectors and i'm not sure even a 470mm one would be long enough. Also as its corrugated inside and would be almost horizontal then im concerned it would block up. Also the...

Fitting toilet to soil pipe at funny angle

Hello, this is a picture of the extension roof. You can just see the soil pipe coming out of the wall. I would need to move it further to the right.

    damp proofing internal wall

I've used a plasterboard primer and will be painting it with kitchen paint so hopefully that will prevent condensation getting to the bricks. Think I'll take your advice and leave the chemicals alone for now and check the wall next winter. Thanks very much Jo

    damp proofing internal wall

Thanks Ajrobb just looked at the Heritage House website, very interesting stuff. I can see what your saying about rising damp and condensation. unfortunatly i didn't use a vapor barrier plasterboard or insulate behind it. We do have cavity wall insulation which should help keep the...

    damp proofing internal wall

Thanks tommy and ajrobb!! I'm fairly sure it's rising damp. The concrete I removed was very wet and there's no one living there so I don't think condensation is to blame. I thought of tanking but not until after I battoned plasterboard to the wall and I don't really want to remove it...

    damp proofing internal wall

Hello hope someone can give me some tips. I'm renovating a house and the kitchen has been knocked through by previous owners into a pantry/ toilet area. This area was very damp and had a concrete floor, the rest is suspended timber. The damp wall was originally just painted brick. I've...

Polly carbonate roof on an extension.

Your right Nickam, we did buy it without the BR certificates, the extension actually attracted me to the house. Had it been fully compliant we probably couldn't have afforded it. I'd just like to make the windows safe and let more light in. I think using a FENSA installer seems safe enough...

Polly carbonate roof on an extension.

Thanks again for replies. I'm not sure exactly the age of the extension. It's an excouncil house that was bought in the late 90's. I think it was added after this. It's built onto the kitchen, Velux windows would let some extra light through but I'd probably need to replace/ repair the...

Polly carbonate roof on an extension.

Thanks for your replies! riviera and hotrod - About FENSA and BC, just wondered if, when the glaziers notified the LABC, after certifying their own work, would the LABC then wonder what this extension was, as it wont be on any of their plans? Don't know if any one could answer that without...

Polly carbonate roof on an extension.

We have a ground floor extension, apparently built without Building Regs approval or Planning Permission by the previous owner some years ago. It's one room with a pitched slate roof which is sagging in the middle. It also blocks light entering the kitchen. I'd like to replace the roof with...

Leaking joint / seal behind pump in boiler.

Everythings ok. It was a couple of perrished O rings that join the pump to the manifold. Managed to replace em at a plumbers merchant.

Leaking joint / seal behind pump in boiler.

Hello hope someone can help. I'm renovating a house and after turning on the cold feed to the boiler to test for leaks in the pipe-work i've noticed a leak from behind the water pump in the boiler (Potterton Performa 24 Eco HE). It's coming from the seal where the pump is fastened to the...

    Wiring for water pump

Hi Matt Yeah it's a Potterton Performa 24 Eco HE. I'm renovating the house prior to moving in so i'm not familiar with the CH. I've found the Installation and Service Instructions, I can't find any reference to it needing to be connected to a CH pump. It actually has a circulation pump...
