    Thanks Ken. Do you mean I could do a fine layer of this rubble and then mot1 over the top. I e 30mm of this rubble then 70mm not 1 then Wacker down

    Blue bricks?? are you referring to the first line of bricks counting from the floor level up. i dont beleive they are blue, just discoloured from weathering and i dont beleive they are all that colour, although will have to check once i get home. thanks

    ok thanks. cant see under the sill as its blocked by concrete steps. and doesnt seem to be anything different around the door and i dont there would be anyway as the door has been raised about a foot as my internal floors were raised a number of years back...
