Add on Strip to door frame

Perfect thank you C39. Also, that explanation is a match to what the builder was trying to say. :) The screws @600mm in the middle, they are not the concrete screws? Small self tappers maybe?

Add on Strip to door frame

the door was custom ordered using the solidor configurater, i included an add on within the 970mm gap because nI was told to by the builder, he said once the inside was platered it would look better from the inside and open better. I could have ordered it without the strip. So glue strip to door?

Add on Strip to door frame

Hi, The hinge wall is the outside side wall of the house1.5 m away from the front wall. The lock side is a new wall built as part of a porch. Its only 1 metre high as there is a "Flag" window od sorts to the right of the lock side. I would say there isnt a frame in the traditional sense as its...

Hi, We got a Solidor with an add on strip (15mm) the builder recomended an add on strip because of the door location. Question is do we glue the strip to the door before we fit it, or, fit the strip to the wall then the door? My instinct saye we should glue the strip to the door with super...

    Level Access Shoer Tray Former

Is it possible to stand on a shower tray former, Marmox or Abacus, to continue work on the surrounding walls or should this be avoided? Can I lay a protective plywood over the top maybe?

Unfortunately the Lintel Catnic recommended is 215mm high and I only have 190mm of headroom. I looked at replacing like for like but new pre-stressed lintels for 3000mm length come in at 215mm high also. Can anyone suggest what I should do? I am thinking worse case scenario is to use a extra...

Vertical crack middle of window lintel

I have noticed there are some sort of rectangular inserts in the concrete lintel, maybe to fix the curtain tracks? One of the inserts is in the crack line. As a result I am not keen on ignoring the crack now and I am going to replace it. There’s no masonry above the lintel just the wooden...

Vertical crack middle of window lintel

Thanks, It doesn't extend to the brick exterior it just holds the wall plate up. I don't see much bowing, the plaster on the front wasn't cracked (so maybe from day one as you said) and the roof tiles that were replaced last year are a third lighter than the old ones so I think I will leave it...
