does it have TRV valve on it? If so, it could be stuck shut. Take the head off (the thermostat bit) and try and free the pin on the valve.

Just connect it up with the VGA cable. Don't forget to set the resolution on your graphics card to that of the monitor.

Just to tap into this thread a little..... If the main flow / return pipes were 15mm copper, but had 10mm microbore for the final leg into the rad.....could you still tap into the 10mm microbore or would you HAVE to "T" into the 15mm copper for the new rad?

I am currently trying to balancing the system. Is the boiler shutting off then due to an un-balanced system? Currently the drop on all my radiators varies between 0 and 10. This is the second round of readings, first temps were between 0 and 14.

Room stat on 30, boiler has just knocked off for 2.5 minutes. The status light on the boiler was flashing green / clear. Then for the last 10 seconds the light flashed green / amber and the boiler fired up.

I did do a full drain / flush and refill on Monday. Also added a new dose of Sentinel X100. All rads are getting hot and the boiler is not making any strange noises (well it does sould like a steam train sometimes but it has been like that months. Not since I drained the system.)

Is there a general rule for what speed setting your pump is set to? Currently, mine is on full (3). It's a conventional system with water cylinder and CH F&E tank in the loft. There are 13 radiators in total, 2 of which are double, others are single. Thanks
