I can assure you it is English but may not be in tradesmen terminology. I am painting a ceiling White but when it dries it is slightly yellow...it certainly isnt the paint as have tried other brands. But as a self-resolution I will try a primer-sealer then repaint it.

Is there a reason why a ceiling that is painted in brilliant white would dry slightly yellow?

The above was purchased in the US...and I am wondering how easy it is to adapt to use in the UK. And whether it is expensive to do.

Hi Looking for ADVISE ON HOW TO GET TEXTURED COATINGS. How its done etc. My Husband has been asked if he can render a wall but they want the wall to have a textured coating. If there special stuff that is needed to do this etc....? The Wife.

Hi Is there such a thing? Whats involved in doing a loft conversion? Who would I need on-board? The cost? Sounds a bit vague....but my husbands a handyman and I was toying with the idea of doing it ourselves.

Ive got a WhiteGold, AC/DC MultiMeter...however, never used it and dont know where to start. Im usually really good with things but the multimeter went right over my head.

2 red wires originally were in a choc block connecting to nothing. 2 earth wires were twisted together going into neutral. 2 Black wires were split going into 2 other terminals ( I assume live).....this appeared to work for the old fitting.....does this make sense? P.S...This not a light in...

Tried changing a ceiling light fitting over to a ceiling halogen light fitting. However, keeps blowing the 5 AMP fuse. (?). Put the old one back up and that works fine. Have checked that the wires are ok on the new one.
